RAM is one of the most important aspects which play a major role in determining your computer’s overall speed. When you close a certain application, it should but does not always correctly release the RAM it was consuming. This might not worry someone with 1GB (or more) of RAM, but what if you’re still stuck with 256MB (or less) where every single megabyte counts? The answer is FreeRAM XP Pro which I also like to call FreeRAM for short.
FreeRAM frees up and defragments your RAM resulting in a quicker, slicker computer. And you have two ways to free up RAM: automatically or manually. FreeRAM has other useful features such as memory display and statistics, clearing the clipboard and forcing your system to shutdown or restart just in case it gets stubborn. Note that you won’t find FreeRAM in the “Add or Remove Programs” list. Instead you can uninstall it through the uninstall command in the “Information” menu of the program’s window. You’ll also be happy to know that FreeRAM frees up your RAM for free! However, its creators request donations, so if you have a few bucks lying around, why not contribute to them in return to this great piece of software?
