There’re oodles of search engines out there and they’re all skirmishing to win you over. See why Google thinks you ought to use their search engine.

When you look for something using Google, the search covers more than 3 billion URLs! This guarantees you get broad results from a huge number of web pages. Secondly, what’s the first thing you’d expect from a reliable search engine? Pertinence, right? For many of us (if not everyone), relevant results are the main quality we look for.

Using Google will also save you a lot of time through two nifty features: excerpts and the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button. Beneath each result, an extract from the web page it links to, is displayed. And at a glance, you can tell whether that page is indeed what you’re looking for. As for the lucky button, it doesn’t have much to do with luck at all. On the contrary, it proves how relevant Google’s results can be. If you’re positive that Google will find what you’re looking for (and chances are it will), give the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button a click and save yourself the time and effort of scrolling through search results.
