Calling all developers: Samsung today opened registration for its first developers conference, coming to San Francisco's St. Francis Hotel from Oct. 27-29.

The event, which promises insight into new tools for building innovative applications, will run participants about $300 per ticket — as a developer, general attendee, student, or "other."

Visitors will have access to keynotes, working sessions, and an exclusive developer event. Registration information and a full schedule are available online.

"Samsung is excited to offer developers a single place to learn how to develop, market, and monetize applications and services that may span smartphones, tablets, and televisions," Dr. WonPyo Hong, president of the Samsung Media Solution Center, said in a statement.
